The Shepherd’s Haven, Inc.’s goal is to create positive outcomes for recovering addicts. The Corporation will do this by operating exclusively for the charitable purpose of assisting indigent, distressed, underprivileged, and low-income people (ranging in age from teens to adult) with drug and alcohol addiction issues who cannot afford to pay for medical or rehabilitative costs by paying for hospital and medical expenses and services (doctors, nurses, in-patient hospitalization, and prescription drugs), provide housing (through payments to third party caregivers/facilities), assisting with supplying counselors and providing education on addictions and treatment for both the persons with the addiction as well as assistance and education for their immediate family.
The Corporation will make every effort to ensure that financial assistance is payable directly to the care provider for the patient (and not payable to the patient, except in rare circumstances).
Those who are recovering need support from family, friends, medical professionals so they will stay in the recovery program and deal with their addiction. In order to provide support, family and friends must be provided with resources to support the recovering individual.
OUR MISSION
To provide support to those who suffer from the disease of addiction and their family members and loved ones. We intend to provide resources, funding, meetings, and telephone support on a 24/7 basis.
OUR VISION
Our long-term vision is to ensure that addiction treatment will someday be available and free to everyone (Like Saint Jude’s Cancer Hospital).
